    1. Thanks so much Helen. I am glad you found it quite useful. Let’s keep up spicing the internet sphere with ideas worth sharing. #Cheers. 🙂

    2. Wow,i had never known about some other writing sites, thanks korir.
I am really having hard time in creating a gig on Fiverr,i don’t know how to go about it correctly, will you mind helping out please?
      Thanks

  1. Awesome and informative! I like your lighthearted approach. It makes you want to keep on reading. I guess it was so much helpful to me. Thanks a lot!

  2. Hi Victor! I appreciate your list and the effort you put into creating it–it’s incredibly useful for those just starting off freelancing.

I don’t know much about the other sites you’ve mentioned, but I can attest that Guru and UpWork aren’t always the best places to go for work. They’re great when you’re just starting out, but bidding sites like that is not how you want to make your living.

You’ll find some clients that will appreciate your work and will be willing to give you the rates you demand, but most of time, it’s a bidding race to the bottom. Most clients are looking for the cheapest content they can get. For the most part, you’re going to waste a shit ton of time working for pennies when you could be making so much more.

I’m currently in this very position. I’ve worked at these bidding sites for a long time now and I’m tired of working more freelancing than I did at a 9 to 5. I’m struggling with trying to find great clients that will pay me for my work–I do pretty damn good work!

So… To reiterate, I really appreciate your work and the effort, but please don’t let bidding sites and content mills be your only way of finding clients!

Best of luck to you 🙂

    1. Hi Evette, thanks for great insights. Bidding sites are really tricky to work with, and as you mentioned they are good when one is starting out with freelancing.

However, as time goes by, it’s good to get direct clients and command the rates worth your skills and expertise.

      Once again, thanks

  3. Truly insightful information. Just to motivate Evettee, I have been on upwork for just 2 years and I managed to import a brand new car worth 1.5m…the trick is never tire to bid and once you land few good clients, deliver high quality work and soon the direct clients will tire you with work. Also it depends on your expertise… For me its academic work all the way. Just identify your niche and you will make it.

  4. Hello Victor,
Firstly, Thanks For Providing Such Great Information!
Secondly, I Am From India! Can You Suggest Me Some Online Business Ideas, Well I’ve A Site ! But I M Not Able To Make Money.
    Regards,
    Abhishek Pandey

  5. Great article! It can be difficult to find clients online and marketing yourself. The sites you listed are great for that but there are a few others that can help with virtual business especially. Let me share our all-in-one social network with a built-in marketplace for service providers, social media entrepreneurs, and all levels of influencers.
