Some of the ways to get new blog post ideas for your next posts include the following:
1: Join forums related to your niche.
Forums have an almost everlasting supply of blog post ideas. Skim through topics in your forum and even responses as they hint you on what people want to know. I personally have subscribed to Afflift where I get tons of hot ideas around affiliate marketing.
Find forums in your niche and follow them. You only need three or four quality forums, as having several will curtail your engagement efficiency.
2: Review your blog comments.
If your blog is established and you get dozens of comments on your blog posts, keenly going through them can guide you on what to write about next.
Every time you get a question on your blog, answering that question is a potential blog post. If you don’t get a good number of comments on your blog, you might want to go through comments on other blogs in your niche. This way you can sample out interesting topics that readers want to know.
3. Share Your Past Experiences
I am sure it’s been a long way coming, and your readers can really benefit from the lessons you’ve learned and the skills you’ve acquired over the years. Tell the story, a good story that your readers will love.

At events such as writing forums, seminars, workshops, boot camps and mastermind groups, you get to meet incredibly awesome people who have great stories to tell. You get great inspirations from them. As you have chit-chats over coffee after the events, you get to meet some people who will tell you that they love your blog and what you write about.
The best place to find great events to attend is probably Eventbrite and Meetup. With these platforms you can search events by location and industry.
These events don’t have to be physical. I attend several virtual events every year and I’m always rejuvenated and filled with fresh ideas for my blog after every event.

5. Find trending topics in your niche using social media platforms
Social media groups are the gold mines of Blog Post Ideas. People are always looking for answers in Facebook groups so if you are in relevant groups you will have a chance at some of them. This way you get to keep an eye on the trending topics in your niche. Track your topics of interest with Google Alerts as well.
When you first join a Facebook group, simply use the search tool to find posts that are related to what you do or blog about. Also do this every time you are looking for blog post inspirations.
LinkedIn groups are great resources as well.
6. Always Be Ready
The ABRs of blogging lie in books. Crack open a book, peruse through a magazine, read blog posts, listen to audio-books, Subscribe to your favourite podcasts, and watch movies. Inspirations come from various sources. The good thing with this kind of diversification is that it usually comes with different angle /point of view, and hence your posts will be uniquely inspired.
7. Use Keyword Tools.
If you want to start off from the keyword stage, then you can easily use keyword tools such as Semrush, Ahrefs, Keyword Everywhere or Google planner to find inspirations backed by data.
Keywords everywhere is a chrome browser that shows you search volume and competition ranking of your keywords across all major search engines such as Google, Bing, YouTube, Amazon, Google planner, etc. Nowadays you do have to buy credits to access search metrics but they are quite affordable
You want to focus on longtail keywords (4-5 words long keywords) that have 200-1000 search volume and less competitive if you are a new blogger (Less than 1 year of serious blogging)
8. Find Posts Ideas from Quora
I love Quora and I usually get most of the ideas from there. If people are asking questions about a topic and getting lots of responses, then that shows that that’s a topic worth pursuing. I then dig deeper to find related questions. Also read through responses to ensure that your outline will match the quiz intent.
Recently introduced are the Quora spaces, which, to me, are more or less like Facebook and LinkedIn groups. Subscribe to a few spaces in your niche that gets lots of engagements and start monitoring topics
9. Scour through Amazon Book Reviews
Since you are in a how to niche, you want to find out what others are saying about infopoducts that are already out there. Needless to say, Amazon Kindle is such a goldmine for authentic reviews. Find out what topics authors failed to address and see if they get enough search volume. If they do, then you can address them within your existing posts or create new posts.
10. Utilize a Blog Post Ideas Generator Tool
Use Hubspot’s Blog ideas generator tool to get 250 new blog post topics. All you need is to enter a noun (main keyword). You can even export these to Excel so that you can always easily access them.
11. Find Topics Using Answer the public tool
This handy tool helps you to find out what people are actually looking for. Simply type in your keyword and this tool will return all questions that people are asking around your topic. Then armed with this knowledge, then break down your article into subtopics
Research these topics one by one and write a great article that tackles the topic extensively.

Just like Google, Pinterest is a great search engine for finding topics that people are looking for. Actually, we all go to Pinterest for one main reason: Inspiration. Whether we want something to write about or products to buy, Pinterest is our go to resource.
And since Pinterest shows you feeds based on the group boards you’ve created, pins you save and the brands you follow, you will find that your homepage feed is packed with relevant blog posts that you can adopt for your own blog.

13. Benchmark With Similar Bloggers
If you are the person who likes re-venting the wheel, goodluck. For the rest of us, we rely on inspirations. That means we find out what’s working for our competition and adopt while making them a bit better.
You should know in your finger tips 5 to 10 bloggers who are your search competitors. Visit their blogs and see what their recent posts are about. If relevant then add these ideas to your queu and plan on developing the content.
14. Just Ask Your Readers
Sometimes great ideas emanate from just asking your readers about their current struggles. You can create a short survey using a tool like Surveymonkey asking them what their current struggles are when it comes to their niches. By analyzing responses you should be able to see a trend. Besides turning the results into a blog post that others will be happy to link to, you will also come out with hundreds of blog post ideas to add to your bank.
15. Scour through Online Learning Platforms like Udemy and Skillshare
If people are creating online courses on a topic, then you know as a creator that that’s something worth considering. Simply go to Skillshare and search for one of the main keyword, then scroll through the results looking for interesting topics to cover.
Tip: Courses table of content especially in Udemy courses can be quite a gem for finding new blog post ideas. One course can give you 20-50 blog post ideas around a particular topic.
