Freelancing is one of the best work-from-home ideas out there. You can do it part-time or full-time, and you can make a lot of money doing it. The best thing about freelancing is that you get to be your own boss, so you’ll never have to deal with a mean boss again!

Virtual assistant work is another popular option for stay-at-home moms. Virtual assistants are basically like personal assistants that people can hire online.
As a VA, you can help your clients with social media marketing, phone calls, email correspondence, organizing things, travel plans, etc. There’s really no limit to what you can help your clients with.

Writing and selling eBooks online has become very popular these days. And why shouldn’t it? You get to make money while working from home.
If you are a writer, and I’m sure most of the moms out there are writers in one way or another, then writing an eBook is definitely something you should consider doing.
Ebooks have a higher return on investment as they don’t cost you much to produce besides your expertise and time.
All you need is some research on the topic and some time to type it all out. You do, however, need to spend some money in proofreading and editing your book before publishing it to avoid those glaring errors that the lazy writer’s eye seems to always miss.
Once your first book is out, the only other thing you have to do is come up with and implement a great book marketing strategy. If you are publishing on sites like Amazon Kindle, then one book might not be enough to get you noticed. So instead, try short reads, and roll out a series.

While not all of us have a way with words, some moms have a way with their hands. If you are a talented artist, then there’s no reason why you shouldn’t try selling your artwork online for extra income.
